THE SONG YOU HEAR ....
Amanda O'Conner, an amazingly talented woman whom was my closest friend, sadly passed away on the 20th of November 2011.
This song, The Spirit of Our Land is a special song that merges both Maori and English, and is an inspiring vision of hope and a call to peace.
Her diverse songs reflect her peaceful vision of the world and her legacy lives on in her two beautiful daughters, Acacia and Rosie.
Ronald & Dzidra van Schaik
The Cape Kidnappers Gannet Reserve is managed by the Department of Conservation for the purpose of protecting the gannet nesting sites.
The 13 hectare reserve includes the Saddle and Black Reef gannet colonies. Both are closed to public access, however the Black Reef colony can be viewed from the beach. The Plateau colony is the main place for viewing the nesting gannets where there are also good panoramic views from this elevated headland.
There are spectacular geological cliff formations on the coast to Cape Kidnappers.
Cape Kidnappers is southeast of Napier on the East Coast of the North Island in the Hawke's Bay region.
